Senior DevOps Developer

Join RBC Capital Markets' DevOps team at a moment where we're not just building the pipelines application teams rely on — we're using AI to build them, and embedding agentic AI directly into those pipelines to further accelerate delivery. We are looking for a Developer obsessed with efficiency and automation to be part of an autonomous team delivering services for application teams across Capital Markets. An open-minded individual who is not afraid to fail fast and pivot when needed, who seeks out gaps and challenges to drive efficiency for other application teams and for their own. Knowledge sharing is key. If you're excited by the idea of using tools like Claude Code — including multi-agent workflows, custom skills, and MCP integrations — to reinvent how DevOps services get built and delivered, this is the team for you. What will you do? Develop value-add DevOps services and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, TypeScript, Python and Java that integrate with our existing DevOps stackUse AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate the design, build, and maintenance of DevOps tooling and platform servicesDesign and embed agentic AI within CI/CD pipelines — including multi-agent orchestration, custom skills, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations — to automate tasks such as code review, testing, remediation, and release decisioningPrototype and evaluate emerging agentic AI tools and patterns, and recommend adoption strategies to further accelerate the platformCoach application teams on how to leverage DevOps offerings and adopt agentic AI practices within their own delivery workflowsChampion developer experience and best practices in conjunction with DevOps to ensure no developer is left behindParticipate in new tool adoption and POC processes, and provide recommendationsEvolve DevOps services beyond current state for application teams What do you need to succeed? Must-have: An engineer mindset, SDLC experience with production-class delivery, strong analytical mindset, communication skills, and sense of ownership / drive2+ years of development experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, C/C++Experience with GitHub Actions for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesHands-on experience with AI coding assistants and agentic development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor), prompt engineering and advanced usage patterns such as multi-agent workflows, custom skills/subagents, and MCP server integrationsExperience with application and system design patternsExperience with Docker or KubernetesExperience with Agile methodologies, i.e. Scrum Nice-to-have: Experience with GitOps deployment paradigms (e.g., Flux) — highly preferredExperience with JFrog Artifactory or similar artifact/package management toolsExperience embedding AI/LLM-based automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., automated code review, test generation, self-healing pipelines)Experience with agentic AI frameworks or concepts such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines.Experience with Elastic Search and KibanaExperience using additional DevOps CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, UrbanCodeDeployExperience with a public cloud technology, i.e. Azure, AWS, GCPExperience building or supporting distributed applications What's in it for you?
