As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking Trust & Security technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. Job Responsibilities Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemDevelop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration managementImplement logging and tracing using ELK Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, and AWS CloudWatchCollaborate with development teams to trouble shoot and ensure smooth deployment and operation of applicationsImplement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycleEnsure disaster recovery strategies are in place using multi-region deployments, backups, and failover mechanismsEvaluate (Continuously) and implement modern technologies and tools to improve operational efficiency Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering and/or DevOpsExperience in Java, Spring Boot or scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, and PythonStrong expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, EKS, ECS Fargate, VPC, IAM, and networking Atlas 2.0; Experience with any rule engines such as IBM ODM Proven track record of building and managing continual automation deployment delivery environmentsProficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as codeHands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and (ECS) for container orchestrationProven track record designing and implementing comprehensive observability solutions (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) and automating complex CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar platformsExperience with security best practices in cloud environments Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Worked with IBM ODM deployment and Containerization Experience with AI and Copilot conceptsAWS Certification(s) ABOUT US Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
