WordPress + React Frontend Developer

We’re looking for an experienced WordPress + React developer to build the frontend of a modern yacht booking platform. The idea is to make it easy for customers to discover yachts, compare options, check availability and submit a booking request without making the experience feel complicated. The backend/content management will be handled through WordPress, while React will power the interactive frontend experience. What we need The platform will allow users to browse yachts based on things like: Location Date Number of guests Yacht type Price range Amenities Trip duration Each yacht should have its own detailed page with: High-quality image gallery Yacht name and location Capacity Specifications Amenities Description Available dates/time slots Pricing Included services Additional options Booking/request CTA Related yachts Booking Experience The booking flow should be simple and intuitive. A typical user journey would be: Search → Filter yachts → View yacht → Select date/time → Enter guest details → Review booking → Submit/confirm Depending on the final booking setup, we may require either an online payment option or a booking-request workflow where the operator confirms the reservation manually. React Frontend We want React to handle the more interactive parts of the website, including: Dynamic yacht search Filters Sorting Availability selection Booking forms Date/time selection Interactive UI elements Loading/error states Mobile navigation Smooth frontend interactions The frontend should communicate cleanly with WordPress through the appropriate API layer. WordPress WordPress will be used as the content/backend management system. We need the admin to be able to manage: Yachts Yacht categories Locations Images Pricing Amenities Availability Booking information Pages/content FAQs Blog/content We'd prefer a structure that's easy for a non-technical team member to update without touching code. Design & UX The website should have a premium travel/luxury feel, but still be practical and easy to use. We're looking for: Clean layouts Large yacht photography Strong typography Clear booking CTAs Responsive design Fast interactions Mobile-first thinking Simple navigation It shouldn't look like a generic WordPress website. The React frontend should feel like a proper modern booking platform. Technical Requirements You should be comfortable with: WordPress React.js WordPress REST API / headless WordPress JavaScript API integrations Responsive frontend development Booking/availability logic Performance optimization Basic SEO considerations Git/version control Experience with WooCommerce, booking systems, Stripe or other payment integrations would be a plus. Important We're not looking for someone who will simply install a yacht-booking theme and modify a few colors. We need someone who can understand the booking flow, structure the WordPress backend properly and build a clean React frontend that can scale as the number of yachts and locations grows. Please share 2–3 relevant projects, preferably involving booking platforms, marketplaces, travel websites or React + WordPress/headless WordPress builds.
