Java Software Engineer

Our client is seeking a Java Engineer to help evolve and stabilize a high‑impact Case Authorization & Data Reconciliation platform within a leading financial services organization. About the Role You’ll serve as an engineering owner - building scalable backend services, improving system reliability, and ensuring data accuracy across APIs and downstream systems. This role blends backend engineering, distributed systems, and stakeholder collaboration. Key Responsibilities Enhance and maintain the Case Authorization platformBuild Java/Spring Boot microservices and backend servicesEnsure data consistency and develop reconciliation logicOptimize performance across services and integrationsIntegrate with REST APIs and external data sourcesImplement production‑grade logging, monitoring, and error handlingPartner with business stakeholders to shape technical solutionsContribute to architecture and system design decisions Required Skills Strong Java (8/11/17) and backend development experienceSpring Boot / microservices expertiseREST API design and consumptionDistributed systems knowledgeExperience with data‑intensive applicationsProduction debugging + performance tuningSQL/NoSQL familiarityStrong communication and cross‑functional collaboration Ideal Candidate Ownership mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, production maturity, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
