Senior Backend Developer (Python) Gothenburg | Permanent | (4 days onsite) A well-established Nordic digital marketplace is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join its technology team in Gothenburg. The business combines the stability of a mature organisation with the pace and influence of a smaller company, giving engineers the opportunity to make a real impact on both technology and business outcomes. You'll join an agile development team working on core business platforms, helping drive the company's ongoing modernisation journey as it transitions from legacy systems to a cloud-native architecture built around Kubernetes and microservices. What you'll be doing Building and maintaining backend services in PythonDeveloping integrations between internal and external systemsWorking with Kubernetes, cloud platforms and containerised applicationsSupporting the migration away from legacy systemsCollaborating closely with product owners and business stakeholdersContributing to platform improvements, bug fixing and new feature developmentTaking part in technical planning and continuous improvement initiatives What we're looking for 5+ years' software development experienceStrong Python development backgroundExperience with Kubernetes and microservicesCloud experience (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure also relevant)Good database knowledge, ideally PostgreSQLExperience working with complex or distributed systemsFluent Swedish, both spoken and written Nice to have: React and TypeScript experienceExposure to enterprise system integrations About you You're a hands-on senior developer who enjoys solving technical challenges while understanding the wider business context.
