DevOps OpenShift Lead

Job Summary We are seeking a DevOps OpenShift Lead to support application onboarding, CI/CD platform integration, infrastructure automation, and container platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, automation tools, and production support within enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities Work with application and development teams to onboard applications and integrate them with the CI/CD platform.Configure, deploy, and support workloads running on container platforms including Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and AKS.Engineer and deliver new capabilities for OpenShift container platforms in a fully automated and supportable manner.Develop software and system scripts to reduce manual intervention and automate recurring operational tasks.Identify vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and security.Support release and build engineering processes, including A/B deployments and testing.Implement and support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and automation tools.Provide production support as needed and troubleshoot critical issues in high-pressure environments.Support infrastructure automation initiatives using Ansible, Python, and related technologies.Collaborate with development teams in fast-paced environments and assist during critical incidents.Required Skills Ability to configure, deploy, and support workloads on OpenShift independently.Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.Expertise with:BitbucketJenkinsSonarQubeArtifactoryAnsibleAnsible TowerJIRAExperience with CI/CD platform integration and automation.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience with Groovy and Python.Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Experience with release/build engineering processes and deployment testing.Experience with performance monitoring and diagnostics tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.Strong Linux administration skills.Experience with shell scripting and Python programming.Strong experience onboarding applications to OpenShift.Experience building large-scale distributed enterprise platforms with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and reliability.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.Understanding of application technologies and development lifecycle processes.Strong operational process discipline with focus on controls, risk management, documentation, and knowledge sharing.Experience with cloud-native technologies in Azure, AWS, or GCP.Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes certifications.Qualifications Proven expertise supporting production container environments, including Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.Experience with maintenance, change control, incident management, and problem management processes.Strong infrastructure automation experience using Ansible and/or Python.Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to effectively collaborate across engineering, development, and operational teams.
