Technical Product Manager A rare opportunity to redefine what modern product management looks like. £70k-£90k (Dependent on exp) + Meaningful Equity This is an opportunity for a Technical Product Manager to join one of the UK's most exciting early-stage technology businesses, building next-generation biometric payment and access technology that enables people to pay, unlock doors and authenticate using nothing more than the palm of their hand. Founded by former senior leaders from a Fintech giant, the business is already live across multiple industries the UK and Ireland. Backed by significant investment, the team is developing hardware, native applications and merchant software simultaneously, creating a genuinely unique product environment. This is not a traditional Product Manager role.The successful candidate won't simply define products, they'll build them too. Leveraging AI-assisted development, they'll move seamlessly from identifying customer problems to shipping production-ready features, helping shape both the product strategy and the technical implementation. The Opportunity Working directly alongside the founders and engineering team, this individual will become the owner of product direction across multiple platforms, taking ideas from concept through to deployment in real-world environments. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of product thinking and engineering, where decisions have immediate, measurable impact. Key Responsibilities Own and shape the product roadmap across merchant portals, kiosks, payment terminals and tablet applications.Translate commercial priorities and customer feedback into clear, prioritised product initiatives.Prototype and ship production-ready features using AI-assisted development tools.Produce detailed product specifications, acceptance criteria and technical requirements.Work closely with engineering on architecture, technical design and system-level decisions.Manage product delivery from planning through to launch, ensuring momentum is maintained throughout the development lifecycle.Own backlog management, sprint planning and Jira work flows.Collaborate with external technology partners to define API integrations and third-party platform connectivity.Continuously improve internal tooling and operational workflows. About the Individual The ideal candidate combines strong product judgement with genuine technical capability.They are comfortable writing and shipping code, understand APIs and system design, and enjoy solving technical problems rather than simply documenting them. They thrive in fast-moving environments where ownership is high and bureaucracy is low. They will likely have: Approximately 3–5 years' experience in Product Management or a highly technical product-focused role.Experience building and shipping software features, ideally using AI-assisted development work flows.A strong understanding of APIs, integrations and software architecture.The ability to communicate effectively with engineers while contributing to technical discussions.Excellent prioritisation skills and a pragmatic approach to product delivery.A background in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical discipline would be advantageous.A passion for emerging technology and building products from the ground up.
