Platform Engineer II

Job Summary The Platform Engineer II is responsible for administering, automating, securing, monitoring and continuously improving the Fabric, Azure, and Azure DevOps platforms to provide reliable, standardized, scalable, and cost-effective services for the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages assigned Azure, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Fabric and related platform services and leads the implementation of platform standards and processes.Develops and implements CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, monitoring, alerting, and deployment solutions across data and development environments.Leads troubleshooting and resolution of complex platform, deployment, performance, security, connectivity, and capacity issues.Develops and executes plans to improve platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, cost, and developer productivity.Mentor Level I Engineers, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.Collaborate with application and data teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of environments.Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, providing expertise in cloud technologies.Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.Two to seven (2–7) years of experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, systems engineering, or a related technical role.Proficiency in one or more of Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft Fabric; experience with multiple platforms is preferred.Experience building and implementing CI/CD, automation, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, security, and deployment solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently resolve technical issues.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience mentoring others or leading small projects.Mesilla Valley Transportation began in 1982 as a small independent fleet in the Southwest.
