Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to play a critical role in evolving and stabilizing a high-impact Case Authorization and Data Reconciliation platform within a leading financial services organization.
This role goes beyond traditional backend development-you will act as an engineering owner, driving business-critical logic, improving system reliability, and partnering closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions.

Responsibilities
Own and enhance the Case Authorization platform, enabling intelligent prioritization of business workflowsDesign and implement robust backend services using Java and modern frameworksCollaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure end-to-end data consistency from APIs to downstream systemsBuild and maintain reconciliation logic to validate data accuracy across systemsAnalyze and optimize performance bottlenecks in existing services and integrationsDevelop reliable integrations with REST APIs and external data sourcesImplement production-grade error handling, logging, and observability frameworksPartner directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutionsContribute to system design, architecture decisions, and best practices
Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in Java (8+/11+/17+) and backend developmentExpertise in Spring Boot / Spring Framework for building scalable microservicesExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIsSolid understanding of distributed systems and system design principlesExperience working with data-intensive applications and backend services supporting data pipelinesStrong debugging and performance tuning skills in production environmentsFamiliarity with SQL/NoSQL databasesExperience with error handling, monitoring, and logging frameworksAbility to work in cross-functional teams and communicate with business stakeholders
