About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting a U.S. Government customer. In this role, you will be instrumental in automating, optimizing, and managing the deployment of secure cloud-based engagement kits used for cyber incident response and threat hunting operations. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, managing source control repositories, and implementing infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient deployment processes. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to national cybersecurity efforts by ensuring rapid deployment and management of cloud infrastructure, thereby enhancing the nation's ability to respond swiftly to cyber threats. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in DevOps, automation, or software engineering, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Candidates must hold an active TS/SCI clearance and be U.S. citizens eligible to obtain DHS suitability. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; however, extensive relevant experience (7+ years) combined with a high school diploma may also be considered. Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, along with experience in CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, is essential. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or YAML, along with familiarity with Git, AWS cloud services, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Linux/Unix systems, are required for success in this role. Responsibilities Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate engagement kit deployment processes.Manage source control and code repositories for infrastructure configurations, ensuring version control best practices.Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resources to support operational needs.Enhance engagement kit capabilities through automation and process optimization initiatives.Collaborate with architects and system administrators to streamline deployment workflows and improve system reliability.Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure operational visibility and quick issue resolution.Support troubleshooting and performance tuning during active operations to maintain system stability.Maintain rigorous version control and change management processes to ensure deployment consistency.Develop automation scripts and tools aimed at reducing manual effort and increasing deployment efficiency.Ensure deployments are repeatable, reliable, and compliant with security standards.Participate in security hardening initiatives and automation efforts to ensure compliance with security policies.
