As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will join an innovative technology team dedicated to building, optimizing, and automating cloud infrastructure and continuous delivery pipelines. In this role, you will leverage enterprise-approved AI tools and modern automation frameworks to streamline delivery processes, enhance system reliability, and improve overall operational efficiency across cloud environments. You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, and deployment processesManage and optimize cloud infrastructure across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCPAutomate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormationMonitor system performance, availability, and reliability using observability toolsCollaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to improve software delivery processesImplement and maintain containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and KubernetesEnsure system security, compliance, and vulnerability management across environmentsTroubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysisManage source control, branching strategies, and deployment workflowsSupport disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability solutionsContinuously improve deployment speed, system reliability, and operational efficiencyUse enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvementEvaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related software engineering roles3+ years of strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD2+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable)2+ years of proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation2+ years of experience with strong scripting skills in Python, or similar languages2+ years of knowledge of networking, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and security best practices Preferred Qualifications Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience (e.g., Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field)Experience utilizing enterprise-approved AI tools to augment workflows and solution engineeringRelevant cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator)Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestrationAll Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
