Founding AI Engineer

Orange Quarter is looking for a Founding AI Engineer to join an ambitious Berlin-based HealthTech company building AI-powered tools that give doctors more time to focus on patients. The company’s first product is an AI medical scribe that automatically documents doctor-patient consultations, reducing administrative work and allowing clinicians to focus on the conversation. The product is already being used by healthcare professionals across Germany, and the team is now scaling the technology and expanding into new areas. This is a hands-on, high-impact role working closely with the founder and taking ownership of key parts of the product and technical infrastructure. You’ll work primarily across backend engineering and applied AI, including Python/FastAPI, real-time audio pipelines, transcription, LLM evaluation and optimisation, infrastructure, CI/CD and new AI products. We’re looking for a genuine builder who enjoys solving complex problems, working autonomously and turning ideas into production-ready products. You should be comfortable making technical decisions, challenging assumptions and working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
