Full Stack Developer - Shopify

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Full Stack Developer - Shopify at Pacer Studio. The individual in this role will develop, maintain, and optimize Shopify storefronts and related applications across the full ecommerce stack. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing front-end features and UI components, building and integrating back-end services and APIs, and ensuring robust, scalable architecture aligned with unified commerce strategies. The developer will collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and other engineers to deliver performant experiences, clean data flows, and stable integrations with loyalty, promotions, merchandising, and analytics tools. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, improving site performance, contributing to technical documentation, and staying current with Shopify platform updates and emerging ecommerce technologies. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), with experience creating responsive, accessible user interfaces.Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development and Software Development skills, including experience with APIs, data models, and server-side logic in modern web frameworks.Candidates should possess Full-Stack Development capabilities, with a track record of owning features end-to-end from database and integrations through to front-end implementation.Experience developing and customising Shopify themes, Liquid templates, and Shopify apps, including working with Shopify APIs and app ecosystem.Familiarity with ecommerce best practices, performance optimisation, and secure handling of transactions and customer data.Ability to write clean, maintainable code, use version control (e.g., Git), and collaborate within an agile or iterative delivery environment.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team.Relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience; prior work with retail, ecommerce, or SaaS platforms is beneficial. Salary range: £45-55k depending upon experience Only candidates based in the UK or UAE will be considered.
