Frontend Software Engineer

Join an international engineering team developing software for the aviation industry. The team works on advanced systems and electronic solutions supporting aircraft, including navigation, flight controls, and information systems. As a Frontend Software Engineer, you’ll work in a hybrid model in Gdańsk, collaborating with experienced engineers, product owners, UX designers, backend developers, and QA. You’ll develop modern frontend applications using JavaScript and TypeScript, taking ownership of features from implementation and testing through to delivery. You’ll also take part in code reviews, technical discussions, and improving development processes. Key responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworksOwn frontend features end-to-end, from implementation and testing to deliveryWrite and maintain unit and integration testsParticipate in code reviews and share best practices with other engineersCollaborate with product owners, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA to deliver high-quality user experiencesWork with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and standard branching and merge request workflowsWork in Docker-based development environments and collaborate with DevOps/OS teamsContribute to sprint planning, estimation, technical discussions, and continuous improvement Ideal candidate profile Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or a related technical field3+ years of professional experience in frontend developmentStrong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend developmentExperience with at least two JavaScript frameworks or libraries, with React being preferredExperience with a component library such as MUI (Material UI)Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3Experience with frontend unit and integration testing, using tools such as Jest, Vitest, Testing Library, or CypressExperience with Git and code review workflowsExperience with React ecosystem technologies such as Next.js, React Query, Redux/RTK, Context, or Hooks is a plusExperience with Docker and containerized development environmentsKnowledge of modern build tools such as Vite or Webpack and frontend performance optimizationUnderstanding of CI/CD and test automationKnowledge of web application security practices, including XSS mitigation, CSP, and secure cookie handlingExperience mentoring other engineers or participating in technical design discussionsFluent English with strong communication skills Conditions Work model: hybrid in Gdańsk (2xweek)Employment type: UoPSalary: to be discussed depending on experienceBenefits: medical care, life insurance, trainings, Multisport card Recruitment steps Phone call with RecruiterInterview with the client (may required 2 rounds)Feedback and decision
