Senior Software Engineer - Up to £160,000 - London Title: Senior Software Engineer Company: AI Startup Location: London (Hybrid) Pay: Up to £160,000 Additional: Very strong stock options Company: A recently funded AI start up, spun out from an elite academic institution are looking to grow their software engineering team, specifically with a mission-critical hire to help scale their systems holistically while leading new development. They are combining incredibly niche domain expertise with AI to conduct research and development in the physical world. Role: This is a backend-biased position but given the size of the team you will be working across the stack when neededBuild scalable, performant systemsDesign and deliver end-to-end features with direct impact on customer valueWork with product and ML teams to help translate abstract and complex concepts into concrete softwareOwn key architectural decisionsContinually make incremental improvements to their systemsHelp the team scale by mentoring junior team membersPlay a significant role in the future direction of the software function About you: Strong ability across scalable and performant systemsYou have a product mindsetStatically typed language experienceExperience with API designLow ego and love of engineeringGood TypeScript skills Full details are available.
