Back End Developer

Golang Developer | Payments Fintech | London I’m working with a growing fintech operating within the payments space looking for a Golang Developer to join their engineering team and help build and scale their backend platform. You’ll be working in a product-focused engineering environment, building backend systems and APIs in Go that support customer-facing financial products. This would suit an engineer who enjoys getting into the technical detail, taking ownership of problems and working within a fast-moving engineering team. What you’ll be doing: Designing and building backend services using GolangBuilding scalable APIs, microservices and distributed systemsDeveloping technology that supports payments and customer-facing financial productsWorking across the lifecycle from technical design through to productionBuilding and operating systems within AWS / cloud environmentsImproving the reliability, scalability and performance of production systemsWorking closely with Product and Engineering to solve complex technical problemsContributing to technical decisions and engineering best practices What we’re looking for: Strong commercial Golang / Go experienceStrong backend software engineering fundamentalsExperience designing and building APIs and microservicesStrong AWS experience or experience working with another major cloud platformExperience building and operating production systemsComfortable taking ownership and solving problems independentlyExperience within fintech, payments or financial services would be beneficial Location: Central London, 5 days per week onsite. You could come from a fintech already or another strong product engineering environment where you’ve built scalable backend systems using Go and cloud technologies.
