Staff DevOps Automation Engineer - USA Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Staff DevOps Automation Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will focus on designing and automating secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that supports modern platform operations and AI/ML-enabled workloads. The position will play a key part in building self-service capabilities, improving reliability, and accelerating access to cloud resources across the organization. You will partner closely with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to translate operational needs into durable technical solutions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $180,000 – $220,000 annually Responsibilities Design, build, and automate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and self-service capabilities for fast access to ML resources Establish platform operations for monitoring, reliability, and support Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into engineered solutions Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards Qualifications 5+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience with AI/ML infrastructure work Deep expertise with a major cloud platform (AWS or Azure) and familiarity with multi-cloud environments Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi) and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Bash) for automation Solid understanding of security and networking principles for cloud resource provisioning Benefits Flexible remote work arrangements Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan for eligible employees Paid time off Access to a broad array of competitive benefit programs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
