Hogrefe, with psychology at its core, identifies, develops, and disseminates knowledge about human experience. We create and publish scientifically based printed and electronic assessments, books, and journals focused on psychology and psychiatry. Our subsidiary, Hogrefe Digital Solutions GmbH, develops the Hogrefe Test System (HTS), a web platform for comprehensive psychological online assessments. We are more than 60 people including Software Engineers, Psychologists, Product Managers, Quality Assurance, and UX Designers. We develop, learn, and grow together. We are looking for a full-time Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our team. Supporting the team mission of bringing online psychological assessments to our HTS platform. The position can be filled on a part-time basis. What will you be doing? You contribute to building innovative digital solutions for psychological testingYou create intuitive and high-performance user interfaces, using modern web technologies such as React and Next.jsYou collaborate closely with designers and product managers, ensuring the developed features meet user needs and adhere to accessibilityYou continuously optimize our frontend performance, making sure our applications are responsive and user-friendlyYou actively participate in maintaining clean and efficient codebases, using version control tools like Git Who are you? Required Skills and Experience Frontend Development: At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in Frontend development within the EUModern web frameworks: You're proficient in modern web frameworks, particularly ReactFrontend expertise: Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScriptWeb testing: Experience with web testing practices and web testing frameworksOptimization: You understand the importance of Frontend performance optimizationWeb accessibility: Solid knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practicesVersion Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) is part of your daily workflowCommunication and Collaboration: You're experienced in collaborating effectively with designers and product managers as part of an agile teamExceptional Qualifications Language Skills: You're fluent in EnglishUniversity Degree: A Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification is beneficial but not requiredPsychological Interest: You're curious and motivated by psychology, testing methodologies, and scienceSelf-improvement: You possess a continuous learning mindset and actively seek to improve your skills What do we offer?
