Key Responsibilities Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code using software development best practicesBuilding and maintaining backend services, APIs, and database-driven functionality using Python and DjangoIntegrating applications with backend services, APIs, and SQL databasesSupporting the implementation and integration of AI/ML functionality, including:o Connecting applications with AI/LLM services and internal AI endpoints o Developing backend functionality for AI chatbot workflows, including sessions, context, routing, and logging o Storing and retrieving AI/chatbot interaction data responsibly for analytics and continuous improvement Contributing to the refinement of technical specifications and requirementsCreating and maintaining technical documentation, including API endpoints, data models, configuration, and basic runbooksCollaborating with developers, analysts, and project staff to support project deliveryResearching new technologies and developments in backend engineering and AI Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant fieldAt least 2 years of relevant experience in backend developmentStrong Python skills and a good understanding of the Django frameworkSolid understanding of REST APIs, SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), and database schema design/query optimizationBasic knowledge of HTML/HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for integration purposes and understanding web application flowsUnderstanding of authentication/authorization concepts (sessions, tokens, JWT, OAuth), and the ability to write maintainable, reusable code with basic unit testing and debuggingFamiliarity with designing and implementing Django models, views, APIs/endpoints, database-driven functionality, and integrations with internal and external servicesBasic understanding of AI/ML concepts (training vs. inference, evaluation, common application patterns), with familiarity in Python data tools such as NumPy and PandasInterest in integrating AI/LLM APIs, prompting and structured input/output handling, and AI chatbot development (conversation handling, knowledge-source integration, monitoring and analyzing interactions)Knowledge of additional programming languages, AI frameworks, or LLM technologies is an advantageProblem-solving mentality, with high curiosity, and eager to continuously learn and stay current with developments in software engineering and AIA reliable team player who takes ownership of deliverablesExcellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Greek Remuneration & Benefits An attractive and competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, including: Annual Gross Salary of up to €40,000, based on qualifications and relevant experience13th salaryDiscretionary annual performance-based bonusFlexible working hours Hybrid working modelShort Fridays SchemeTeam-building eventsOpportunities for professional development, career progression, and continuous learningA supportive, professional, and collaborative working environment Applications: All applications will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
