At Banca Transilvania, we're building one: the same Git, CI/CD, container, and security pattern across OpenShift, AKS, EKS, and ECS. If you're looking for an open team with a strong focus on R&D and enablement, this is it. We're growing our Core DevOps team and looking for someone who'd rather fix the on-prem/cloud split than live with it: building, securing, and enabling the environments that power development and testing across the bank. How we work On-prem and cloud aren't separate worlds here: one stack ships everywhere. You'll own environments end-to-end, commit to running workload, and help us finish migrating from Jenkins to GitHub Actions while we expand from Azure into AWS. We lean on automation, including AI-assisted tooling for root-cause work, so you're not stuck manually digging through logs. Objectives of this role Build, maintain, and secure the environments that support development and testing activities.Enable teams to efficiently use both on-prem and cloud environments, accelerating technology adoption.Collaborate with development and testing teams to continuously improve the software delivery lifecycle.Collaborate with security teams to enforce DevSecOps and security best practices.Collaborate with site resiliency teams to ensure proper maintenance, high availability, and disaster recovery readiness.Own environments end-to-end and drive the Jenkins → GitHub Actions and Azure → AWS migrations.The stack Git and CI/CD: Jenkins today, GitHub Actions next, plus Nexus and SonarQube.Scripting: Groovy, PowerShell, Shell/Bash.Containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS/EKS/ECS.Cloud identity and IaC: AWS (IAM, Terragrunt) and/or Azure (Managed Identities/RBAC, Key Vault, Terraform).Security: Kubernetes/container hardening, DevSecOps practices, private networking (VPC/VNet, private endpoints, site-to-site VPN).Required skills and qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.Solid knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows.Solid knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube).Solid scripting skills (Groovy, PowerShell, Shell/Bash).Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration:Docker and container image lifecycle management.Kubernetes (deployments, networking, storage, RBAC, troubleshooting).Helm for packaging and release management.OpenShift platform operations and administration, plus production experience with at least one of OpenShift, EKS, ECS, or AKS.Practical understanding of Kubernetes security and container platform hardening.Hands on experience with AWS / AzureProfessional English; Romanian for local team collaboration.Nice to have / considered an advantage GitOps and delivery orchestration tools (Argo CD, Argo Workflows).Secrets management solutions (HashiCorp Vault).Workflow/process orchestration tools (Camunda).Observability and monitoring platforms (Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus/ELK).Production experience with AWS / AzureRelevant certifications: KCNA, CKA / CKAD / CKS, or an equivalent AWS/Azure cloud certification.IaC with Terraform, OpenTofu, AnsibleCuriosity about AI-assisted ops / agentic automation.Previous experience in large enterprises or financial institutions.What we offer A live migration to shape — Jenkins to GitHub Actions, Azure to AWS.A growing, R&D-minded team distributed across major Romanian cities.Collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve existing solutions and deliver new capabilities.The opportunity to innovate and see your ideas implemented at scale.No on-call rotation.Colleagues who care about the craft, not the ticket queue.
