Senior Platform Engineer and AWS Cloud Architect | Remote (APAC/Europe) | Crypto Trading Infrastructure | Competitive Base + Bonus Join a high-performance crypto trading and technology firm operating across global markets, supporting millions of trades daily across CeFi and DeFi venues. The team builds and maintains the critical infrastructure powering a 24/7 trading environment where performance, reliability and automation are business-critical. They're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help evolve their infrastructure function into a modern Platform Engineering and SRE organisation. This is not a traditional ticket-driven DevOps role. You'll work on scalable cloud infrastructure, automation, self-service tooling, reliability engineering and platform development while collaborating directly with traders, researchers and engineers. You'll join a highly capable team of infrastructure engineers, with significant ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to shape the future of the platform. Responsibilities Design, build and operate highly available cloud infrastructure supporting business-critical trading systems.Develop self-service tooling and internal platforms that reduce operational toil and enable engineering teams to move faster.Manage and optimise Kubernetes environments running in AWS production environments.Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation tooling including Ansible.Build automation and operational tooling using Python, Go or Bash.Monitor, troubleshoot and improve system performance, reliability and scalability across cloud and Linux environments.Participate in a rotational on-call schedule supporting a global 24/7 environment.Collaborate directly with traders, researchers and developers to solve complex infrastructure challenges.Drive platform engineering initiatives that improve developer experience and reduce manual support requests.Leverage AI tools as part of daily engineering workflows and problem-solving. Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering.Strong AWS experience within production environments.Deep Kubernetes expertise, including managing and supporting production clusters.Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.Strong scripting ability in Python, Go or Bash.Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.Ability to take ownership of problems from identification through to resolution.Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a highly autonomous remote environment.Experience within crypto, trading, fintech, market-making or other high-availability environments is highly desirable.
