Senior Developer

The Opportunity An opportunity for an experienced Senior Developer to take technical ownership of complex software solutions within a large Australian Government ICT environment. The role combines hands-on development, systems design, technical leadership and production delivery across modern and mainframe technologies. What You'll Do Lead complex software design, development, prototyping, testing, release and production support activities.Provide technical leadership, resolve complex ICT issues and drive high standards for code quality, security and maintainability.Assess technical requirements, design options and risks while working with stakeholders to deliver effective software solutions. What We're Looking For Senior software development experience with responsibility across the full development lifecycle and complex systems design.Experience working with mainframe technologies; COBOL, Adabas Natural or other mainframe languages are advantageous, with M204 highly desirable.Strong object-oriented development skills, including Java and/or C#, plus experience applying development standards, methods and configuration management practices.
