About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Application Developer (d/f/m) to join our Digital Operator Solutions team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications that form the backbone of our digital infrastructure. Your expertise will influence the architecture and deployment of microservices-based applications, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and aligned with our strategic objectives. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, practical experience, and a proactive mindset. Essential qualifications include advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Angular for modern web development, along with a deep understanding of cloud architecture, particularly AWS services such as S3 and Load Balancers. Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is required, demonstrating your ability to manage complex, distributed systems effectively. Knowledge of event-driven architectures, especially Apache Kafka, is vital for building real-time data pipelines. Strong skills in NoSQL database management, particularly MongoDB, are necessary to handle large-scale data storage and retrieval. Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and Agile methodologies will enable you to integrate seamlessly into our operational and development processes. Fluency in German is mandatory, with proficiency in English considered an advantage. Additionally, awareness of German security and governmental requirements is highly desirable to ensure compliance with local regulations. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end development, testing, and deployment of microservices-based web applications, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical standards.Define and evolve the company's IT architecture, including software design and infrastructure, to maintain scalability, security, and future readiness.Apply ITIL best practices to manage IT services effectively, participating actively in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.Manage relationships with external software development providers, acting as the technical point of contact to ensure quality and adherence to architectural standards.Implement and enforce security policies, practicing secure coding and configuration management to safeguard applications and data.Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evolving the technology stack, enhancing system reliability, performance, and developer productivity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into sustainable technical solutions.Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry standards, integrating innovative solutions into the existing ecosystem.
