Senior Agentic AI Engineer

Salary: €110k - €120k + bonusLocation: Darmstadt, HesseHybrid: 3 days on-site About the Role My client is looking for a Lead Agentic AI Engineer to architect and scale production-grade agentic AI features for their digital health platform. You will turn advanced AI concepts into safe, reliable, and clinically meaningful functionality for pediatric care. Key Responsibilities Design Agentic Systems: Build robust AI agents and workflows for context-aware assistance, workflow orchestration, and personalized care.Guarantee Safety & Compliance: Implement rigorous guardrails, explainability frameworks, and human-in-the-loop controls for regulated environments.Drive Engineering Excellence: Establish best practices for system architecture, evaluation, monitoring, and observability.Lead Collaboration: Partner with researchers, clinicians, and product teams while mentoring engineers. Qualifications Experience: 5+ years in software or AI engineering, with proven experience shipping production LLM or agentic systems.Tech Stack: Strong expertise in Python, LLM patterns, workflow orchestration, multimodal AI, and cloud-native architectures.Core Skills: Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, data privacy, and secure pipeline operations.Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field (PhD is a plus).Languages: Full professional fluency in English.
