About the Opportunity: The Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Card Ledger & Money Movement) role is integral to building and maintaining systems that manage money movement, bank data integration, and merchant data. The position supports the development of a financial product that combines debit card functionality with buy now, pay later financing. This role ensures the robustness and scalability of money movement systems, directly impacting the organization''s ability to reach new customers and improve financial experiences. 3. Responsibilities: Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, guiding engineers through complex problems.Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to align technical solutions with product needs.Identify and address project, process, technology, or business issues proactively.Support operational stability by monitoring systems and participating in on-call duties.Promote a culture of quality through code review standards and knowledge sharing.Mentor team members by providing feedback and leading by example. 4. Requirements: 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.Experience with highly available distributed systems, including AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.Ability to define technical plans with elegant, extensible designs and produce high-quality code.Proficiency in managing significant changes in large codebases using effective tools and practices.Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and proactive feedback seeking.Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 5.
