Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Amman, Jordan, focused on building and maintaining GoldenTik’s marketplace platform using TypeScript, NestJS, and Next.js.
The Software Engineer will design, develop, and optimize back-end APIs and services, integrate with front-end components, and ensure performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform.
Daily responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating closely with product, design, and QA teams.
The role also involves contributing to architectural decisions, improving development workflows, and implementing best practices in security, data handling, and cloud-based deployments.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.Proficiency in Back-End Web Development using TypeScript and NestJS, with experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming for production systems, ideally in e-commerce or SaaS environments.Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and clean code practices.Practical experience with Next.js, React, and modern front-end development workflows.Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, caching, and performance optimization.Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker).Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with clear communication and problem-solving skills.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in marketplace, multi-vendor platforms, or fintech/payment integrations is an advantage.
