Operations Engineer

DevOps Engineer (Application Operations Engineer) Location: Utrecht Work model: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite, rest remote) Start: asap Profile We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Operations and technical application management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of the existing application environment, carrying out and supporting deployments, and resolving technical incidents. The environment uses technologies including Jenkins and Apache Tomcat. Knowledge of Java is a plus, particularly for understanding and analysing application issues. In the longer term, the environment will migrate to Microsoft Azure. Experience with cloud environments and cloud migrations is therefore a valuable addition. Responsibilities Carrying out, coordinating, and troubleshooting application deployments.Managing and supporting applications within the existing infrastructure.Maintaining and improving CI/CD processes using Jenkins.Providing technical administration and troubleshooting within Apache Tomcat.Analysing and resolving incidents, including log analysis and root cause analysis.Supporting the future transition to Microsoft Azure. Required knowledge and experience Demonstrable experience in a DevOps or Operations role.Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD.Experience with Apache Tomcat and application deployments.Strong technical troubleshooting and production support skills.Ability to work independently in an operational environment. Nice to have Knowledge of Java, particularly for application analysis and troubleshooting.Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud migrations.Experience with deployment automation and scripting. We are specifically looking for a candidate with an Operations background. An experienced Java Developer who primarily focuses on developing new functionality is a less suitable fit for this assignment.
