Role Description The Senior Python Developer will design, develop, and optimize back-end services and APIs that power Masrava’s expense management platform. This full-time, on-site role in Berlin involves building scalable, secure, and maintainable software components, integrating with ERP and accounting systems, and collaborating closely with product, data, and QA teams. Responsibilities include writing clean, testable Python code, implementing and refining business logic, participating in code reviews, and improving performance and reliability of existing services. The role also includes contributing to architectural decisions, mentoring less-experienced developers, and ensuring adherence to best practices in software development, security, and data protection. The Senior Python Developer will help translate business requirements into technical solutions that deliver a seamless experience for finance teams and end users. Qualifications Solid academic foundation or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Strong proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with extensive hands-on experience in Python.Demonstrated experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration with third-party systems.Professional background in Software Development, including design patterns, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), message queues, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).Familiarity with security best practices, data protection, and compliance in FinTech or enterprise environments.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Fluency in written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage.Previous experience in FinTech, ERP integration, or financial systems is a plus.
