Role Description The Senior Software Engineer, Robot Data Infrastructure will design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers Cruq AI’s agent platform and robotic workflows in a full-time remote role. This position will focus on developing scalable back-end services, data pipelines, and APIs that enable reliable data ingestion, storage, retrieval, and processing for multi-agent systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data architecture, optimize performance, and ensure robustness, observability, and security across the platform. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting production issues, and improving system reliability and throughput. The role also involves contributing to technical design documents, mentoring other engineers, and driving best practices for software development and data infrastructure. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade services and tools.Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, and data-intensive systems.Practical experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and modern software design principles.Experience designing and operating data infrastructure (e.g., streaming systems, data lakes, ETL pipelines, message queues).Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, caching layers, and performance optimization techniques.Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, with strong communication and documentation skills.Prior experience in AI, ML, or automation platforms is a plus.Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
