About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Application Developer to join our Digital Operator Solutions team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. In this strategic role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications that underpin our critical operational platforms. Your expertise will influence the architecture of our cloud-based infrastructure and software ecosystems, ensuring they remain adaptable to future technological changes. You will serve as a key technical leader, guiding the end-to-end lifecycle of microservices-based applications from conception through deployment, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital solutions. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills and relevant experience, including proficiency in modern web development frameworks, cloud architecture, and agile methodologies. Fluency in German and good command of English are required, along with a solid understanding of security and governmental compliance standards specific to Germany. Certifications in Kubernetes, experience managing offshore development teams, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines are considered advantageous. Responsibilities Full Lifecycle Development: Lead the end-to-end development, testing, and deployment of microservices-based web applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards.Architectural Leadership: Define and evolve the company's IT architecture, encompassing software design and infrastructure, to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with future technological trends.IT Service Management (ITSM): Apply ITIL best practices to maintain operational excellence, actively participating in incident, problem, change, and release management processes to ensure system stability and reliability.Vendor & Provider Management: Act as the primary technical contact for external software development providers, overseeing deliverables to meet quality and architectural standards.Security & Compliance: Implement secure coding practices and maintain rigorous application configuration standards to adhere to IT security policies and governmental regulations.Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements of the technology stack and infrastructure to improve system performance, reliability, and developer productivity, fostering innovation within the team.
