Role Description The Research Development Team Lead is a full-time, hybrid role based in Kathmandu, with flexibility for partial work from home. This position is responsible for leading end-to-end research and development initiatives, including designing experiments, evaluating AI models, and translating findings into product features. The role involves overseeing product development cycles, coordinating cross-functional collaboration, and guiding the team in building RAG chatbots, AI agents, and workflow automation tools. The Team Lead will mentor team members, set technical direction, manage project timelines, and ensure that research outcomes align with business goals and client requirements. Day-to-day activities include reviewing research proposals, analyzing data, preparing technical documentation, and presenting recommendations to stakeholders. Qualifications Strong foundation in Research and Development (R&D) and Product Development, with experience turning research outcomes into scalable solutions.Proficient in Research and Analytical Skills, including experimental design, model evaluation, and data interpretation.Demonstrated Team Leadership capabilities, with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams and coordinating project delivery.Experience in AI/ML domains such as LLMs, RAG systems, or AI agents, and familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage multiple projects, and adapt to evolving priorities.Experience with agile or iterative development practices; prior work in startup or innovation-focused settings is an advantage.
