Description The Identity and Access Management group is responsible for the protection of customer and corporate data. We are connected to all parts of Amazon's business and it’s massive, worldwide service-oriented architecture. We are starting work on a new mission critical system that will preserve and improve the trusted experience that Amazon provides to its customers. This is a greenfield initiative with plenty of opportunity for innovation in the security space through new data exploration and machine learning techniques. We are seeking a Software Development Engineer with a great passion for data, and an insatiable desire to be curious and invent. A commitment to team work and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. Basic Qualifications Experience in professional, non-internship software development Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
