DevOps Engineer - Federal Customer (Chantilly, VA) (on-site 5 days per week: TS/SCI required) Job summary If you enjoy working with new technologies, enterprise-leading equipment, and have a passion for building and maintaining information technology (IT) infrastructures, we would like to speak to you. This position will play a key role in supporting next-generation infrastructure to drive innovation. You will join a diverse team of DevOps Engineers to design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure. You will collaborate with people inside and outside the organization to deliver the highest standards for building, deploying, and securing infrastructure. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure. This includes automating the deployment and configuration of operating systems, applications, and platform components associated with Kubernetes. As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for the entire stack (DNS, IdM, OCP, OAUTH, DHCP, S3, NFS, Application Stack, and more). Key Job Responsibilities DevOps Engineers demonstrate the ability to analyze complex problems and engineer effective solutions. • Understanding of networking concepts, including bonding, bridging, VLANs, firewalls, and troubleshooting • Solid understanding of multiple operating systems (Linux, BSD, UNIX) • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages: Python, Go, Bash • Understanding of containerization platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift • Basic understanding of security concepts, including encryption, authentication, authorization, and access controls • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and project management • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities • Desire to continue learning and professional development in the field of Platform Engineering Required Qualifications • Proficiency with multiple operation systems (Linux, Windows, Networking) • Active TS/SCI and the ability to maintain access as required by the program • Experience deploying, managing, and monitoring Kubernetes and the containerized applications running within • Working knowledge of authentication protocols and methodologies (IdM, OIDC, KeyCloak, Authentik) • Experience containerizing applications via Docker / Podman Preferred Qualifications • Proficient with filesystems (File, Block, Object) • Experience managing and validating disaster recovery processes • Ability to deploy and utilize local Large Language Models (LLMs) • Experience with iptables, ebpf, tcpdump, wireshark We offer • A dynamic and collaborative working environment that fosters professional growth and development. • Opportunities for personal and technical skill enhancement through ongoing training and professional development opportunities. • A supportive and inclusive team culture that values diversity and encourages individual contributions.
