About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team at the Konstanz site.
In this role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and advancing our virtualized infrastructure environments tailored for software development within an air-gapped setting.
Your expertise will support the continuous integration and deployment processes essential for our mission-critical projects.
You will work closely with software development teams and the IT department to ensure seamless integration of new software and technological advancements.
Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing security measures to safeguard our systems and data, as well as documenting infrastructure processes comprehensively.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of secure, high-performance systems used in defense and security applications, ensuring operational excellence and technological innovation.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a completed degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possess equivalent professional experience in a DevOps environment.
Practical knowledge of container technologies such as Docker is essential, along with experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices being advantageous.
You should have a strong command of CI/CD tools and collaboration platforms, along with proficiency in version control systems.
Skills in scripting languages like Python and Bash are required, complemented by solid Linux operating system knowledge.
Excellent German language skills, both spoken and written, are mandatory.
The candidate must demonstrate an independent and systematic work approach, analytical thinking, creativity, and the ability to work well within a team.
Responsibilities
Establish, maintain, and continuously improve virtualized infrastructure environments for software development in an air-gapped environment.Design, develop, and implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to facilitate automated software integration and deployment.Collaborate closely with software development teams and IT colleagues to ensure smooth integration of new software and technological innovations.Implement and oversee security protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for infrastructure setups and operational processes.
