The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Android Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications. This part-time remote role is suited to a developer who enjoys solving technical challenges, building intuitive mobile experiences, and collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver reliable applications. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain Android applications across different devices and screen sizes.Build clean, scalable, maintainable, and high-performance mobile application features.Translate product requirements, designs, and technical specifications into functional Android solutions.Develop responsive user interfaces and engaging mobile experiences.Integrate REST APIs, third-party services, databases, analytics, and other application components.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs, performance issues, and technical defects.Conduct code reviews and contribute to coding standards, development guidelines, and best practices.Write unit tests and support automated testing to maintain application quality and reliability.Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.Monitor application performance and support improvements throughout the development lifecycle.Participate in application releases, deployment processes, maintenance, and ongoing enhancements.Stay informed about Android platform updates, development tools, frameworks, and emerging mobile technologies.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.3+ years of professional experience in Android development or mobile application development preferred.Strong experience with Android SDK, Kotlin, and/or Java.Understanding of Android application architecture, UI development, lifecycle management, and performance optimization.Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, databases, version control, and third-party integrations.Familiarity with Android Studio, Git, Gradle, debugging tools, and mobile testing practices.Strong understanding of software development principles, clean code, and application security.Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop practical solutions.Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote development environment.Ability to manage development tasks, priorities, and deadlines independently.Professional certifications are not required unless relevant to the role.What We OfferFlexible part-time hours within a fully remote working environment.Competitive compensation aligned with experience and mobile development expertise.Opportunities to work on diverse Android applications and modern digital products.Exposure to current mobile technologies, development tools, APIs, and engineering practices.Professional development through challenging technical projects and continuous learning.A collaborative technology environment focused on innovation, quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
