About The Role We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in PHP and Laravel to join our digital development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and scaling our new digital platform, contributing to the development of a modern, robust, and efficient system landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, UX designers, DevOps, and QA specialists, to deliver high-quality digital products that meet strategic business objectives. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess extensive professional experience in software development, particularly within digital platforms or technology-driven growth companies. Strong proficiency in modern PHP frameworks, especially Laravel, along with API design and software architecture, is essential. Experience in developing scalable web applications and cloud-based systems is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of Clean Code principles, testing methodologies, performance optimization, and system maintainability. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, along with modern DevOps practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring, is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are necessary, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership and quality standards is crucial for success in this role. Responsibilities Contribute actively to the design and development of the new digital platform, establishing a scalable and maintainable system environment from scratch.Create high-performance backend solutions utilizing PHP and Laravel, ensuring robustness and security.Manage the entire development lifecycle—from technical conception and implementation to testing, deployment, and ongoing operations.Collaborate closely with product owners, UX teams, DevOps, QA, and other stakeholders to develop and refine digital products that align with business goals.Introduce innovative ideas to enhance architecture, development standards, and engineering processes, fostering continuous improvement.Implement automated testing, conduct code reviews, and follow best practices to uphold high software quality standards.Develop, optimize, and maintain interfaces, services, and integrations across our platform landscape.Leverage modern AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, quality, and delivery speed.Take ownership of your solutions, think beyond immediate tasks, and provide pragmatic, solution-oriented support to colleagues.Utilize your technical expertise within a stack that includes PHP, Laravel, Filament, Livewire, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure Cloud to deliver innovative digital solutions.
