Staff Software Engineer – Identity & Risk Intelligence
About the Role
Adyen is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to help build and scale data-driven risk intelligence capabilities that detect and mitigate financial crime and fraud across its global financial technology platform.
You will design and deliver reliable, scalable, low-latency systems that integrate Machine Learning (ML) models into production environments.
This role combines hands-on software engineering, system architecture, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will work with large-scale payments and identity data to help identify platform actors, assess risk, support financial crime detection, and reduce fraud while limiting friction for genuine customers.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and scale robust software systems that integrate ML models into production.Build systems that support proactive financial crime and fraud detection and mitigation.Partner with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions.Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools, and drive appropriate adoption.Lead technical design discussions and contribute to the technology roadmap.Mentor junior engineers and peers through technical leadership and knowledge sharing.Advocate for software engineering and system architecture best practices.Collaborate with Account Management, Compliance, Operations, and other technical and non-technical teams.Continuously develop knowledge of software engineering, infrastructure, and AI technologies.
Required Qualifications
