Role Description The SENIOR CLOUD & DEVOPS ENGINEER (ABC DUST) role is a full-time, on-site position located in Quebec, Canada.
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines that support ABC Dust’s data-driven dust control and soil stabilization solutions.
Day-to-day activities include building and managing Infrastructure as Code deployments, administering Linux-based systems, implementing Continuous Integration and delivery workflows, and collaborating with software development teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable applications.
The engineer will monitor system performance, optimize resource usage, automate operational tasks, and contribute to technical architecture decisions aligned with product and business needs.
The role also involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that cloud and DevOps practices meet high standards of safety, compliance, and sustainability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure as code (IaC) skills, with experience using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar solutions.Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including familiarity with modern programming languages and collaboration with engineering teams on application deployment.Candidates should possess Continuous Integration skills, with hands-on experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Candidates should possess System Administration and Linux skills, including managing servers, troubleshooting performance issues, and ensuring system security and reliability.Relevant additional qualifications include experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools.A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams are essential.Experience in industrial, mining, or environmental technology domains, and an interest in sustainability and HSEC standards, is an asset.
