Senior Full Stack Software Engineer - AI First

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Software Engineer to join our Master Data Management (MDM) product line within Precisely’s Data Integrity Suite. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade, AI-first full stack applications that manage and deliver trusted, high-quality data across integrations, workflows, and analytics. You will work across frontend and backend layers, driving architectural decisions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, production-ready features. As part of an AI-first engineering organization, you will use AI tools as a core part of designing, building, testing, and operating software, and will help shape how the team applies AI to accelerate development, improve code quality, and strengthen problem-solving. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and product teams — mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical direction — to deliver scalable, reliable, production-ready capabilities that address real customer needs. What you will do: Develop full stack applications using Java (backend) and modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React)Build responsive UI components and integrate them with backend services and APIsDesign and implement REST APIs and service integrations for MDM workflowsOwn and drive data models and application architecture decisions supporting MDM platformsDeliver features end-to-end including development, testing, and deploymentLead debugging and root-cause analysis of complex defects across front-end and backend systemsUse AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) for coding, debugging, and productivityEvaluate and validate AI-generated outputs for correctness and performanceApply AI to accelerate development workflows, testing, and documentationWrite unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliabilityDrive performance, scalability, and reliability improvements across the platformFollow clean code practices and maintainable design principlesLead code reviews and actively participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planningCollaborate with Product, UX, QA, and Platform teamsContinuously learn and evaluate new technologies, especially in AI/agentic workflows, frontend and backend platformsWhat we are looking for: Required: Educational requirements: (Equivalent work experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement) Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fieldYears of experience: 4+ years of experience in software developmentYears of experience needed with specific skills: 4+ yearsSpecific technical or software skills required React/Angular/Java, with demonstrated experience leading system design and architecture decisionsNecessary certifications n/aTravel is required: none – Approximately %0Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React/Angular frameworks Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented design principlesDeep understanding of web application architecture, APIs, and system design trade-offs at scaleProven track record of championing test-driven development, including unit test patterns, mocking strategies, and test quality gatesDeep understanding of concurrent programming, including thread-safety contracts, immutability, and shared state managementStrong problem-solving and communication skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical direction Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and distributed systemsProven experience designing REST APIs and microservices architecturesAI Skills/Knowledge: Hands-on experience using AI tools for coding, debugging, and productivity (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)Ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated code for correctness and performance Interest in applying AI to data platforms, APIs, frontend and backend workflowsEagerness to adopt AI-assisted software engineering development practices and agentic workflows as part of daily workPreferred Skills (a plus but not required): Experience with Angular or ReactDatabase knowledge (SQL/NoSQL)Understanding of data platforms, MDM concepts, or data integration pipelinesDefensive programming practices (null safety, input validation, guard clauses, failure atomicity)Basic knowledge of Python or AI/ML conceptsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Application and Interview Impersonation Notice: Impersonating another individual when applying for employment, and/or participating in an interview process to assist another individual in obtaining employment, with Precisely Software Incorporated (“Precisely”) is unlawful.
