For 30 years, we have helped users compare health insurance, insurance, telecommunications providers, and banks, while operating Switzerland’s largest online marketplaces for cars and real estate. With more than 80 million visits per year, comparis.ch is one of Switzerland’s most frequently used websites. As a Backend Developer, you will join our Marketplace team and help build one of Switzerland’s largest real estate platforms, used daily by thousands of users. You will develop scalable backend services and APIs, support the modernization of our architecture into a cloud-native platform based on Azure and Kubernetes, and contribute to migrating legacy .NET Framework applications into a modern containerized environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using .NET Core and ASP.NET.Develop and operate REST APIs and microservices.Work with SQL Server and Azure Cosmos DB to manage application data.Improve search functionality using Elasticsearch.Deploy and operate applications using Docker and Kubernetes.Maintain high standards for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production incidents.Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to deliver high-quality solutions.Contribute to platform modernization and the redevelopment of existing backend applications usingmodern .NET 10. Required Qualifications Completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable practical experience.At least 3 years of professional experience in backend development.Strong knowledge of C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET.Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.Experience with cloud platforms.Experience working in agile teams.Very good English language skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with vector databases.Knowledge of Elasticsearch ranking and search optimization.Experience with event-driven architectures.Experience building data-ingestion pipelines.
