Ujyalo Ventures is looking for a passionate Senior Go + DevOps Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a technical contributor role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs that power our platform.
This role works closely with product, frontend, and technology operations teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that meet business and technical objectives.
The position requires strong software engineering fundamentals, proficiency in Go, and the ability to take features from design through deployment.

🕒 Work Hours
WFH hours: ~8pm to 11pm (to collaborate with the US team)In-person hours: ~10am to 3:30pm (flexible)

🖥️ Responsibilities:
Backend Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs primarily in Go.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers and technical leads to translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.Code Quality: Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.API Design: Design and implement RESTful (and/or gRPC) APIs for internal and external consumers.Production Support: Diagnose and resolve production issues, including debugging, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.DevOps Partnership: Partner with DevOps/technology operations to support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and infrastructure needs.Architecture & Technical Decisions: Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making for new and existing systems.Agile Participation: Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and refinements.QA & UAT Support: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with QA to validate deliverables against requirements.Release Management: Assist with release planning, deployments, and post-release validation of production systems and data.Technical Documentation: Contribute to technical documentation, including system design docs, API documentation, and runbooks.Task Management: Manage and track development tasks using Jira.
