About the Role
The Openbaar Ministerie (OM) is looking for an experienced DevOps / CI/CD Engineer to join the platform team within program EMMA.
In this role, you will design, build, and manage the CI/CD chain around an OpenShift platform, enabling development teams to build, test, and deploy software securely, reliably, and efficiently.
You will contribute to reusable platform solutions, technical standards, and improved developer experiences while helping development teams become increasingly self-sufficient.
You will work closely with technical specialists and development teams to improve automation, standardization, security, stability, and maintainability across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines, templates, and technical standards.Integrate CI/CD processes with OpenShift and supporting services for artifacts, images, testing, and security.Develop reusable solutions that can be adopted across multiple development teams.Improve developer experience through standardized development and deployment processes.Optimize container images, deployments, and automated quality controls.Analyze and resolve complex technical issues involving pipelines, containers, and platform services.Identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce practical, scalable solutions.Document technical solutions, standards, and working practices clearly.Share technical knowledge and support development teams in using platform services independently.Help ensure platform solutions remain reliable, secure, stable, and maintainable.Required Qualifications
HBO-level IT education or equivalent professional working and thinking level.At least 4 years of demonstrable experience designing, building, and managing CI/CD pipelines in a professional DevOps environment.Demonstrable experience with containerization.Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or a comparable container platform.Experience with Linux and scripting, such as Bash.Strong understanding of the relationship between development, CI/CD, containers, and platform services.Ability to analyze complex technical problems and translate them into practical solutions.Strong attention to accuracy, security, stability, and availability.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GitLab CI/CD or OpenShift.Knowledge of Nexus, Grafana, ArgoCD, MuleSoft, or automated security and quality tooling.Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification.Experience working with technical standards and reusable platform solutions.Skills & Competencies
