Job Description Join ACL as our first technical hire to transform a founder-led prototype into a downloadable mobile app. You will own the entire engineering lifecycle, from selecting the tech stack to managing App Store releases. Location London, UK Why this role is remarkable Total Ownership: As the sole engineer, you have full autonomy over the tech stack, product architecture, and release cycle without any corporate layers.AI-Native Workflow: Work in an environment that prioritizes speed via AI coding tools like Cursor and Claude, moving from concept to production at high velocity.Direct Impact: You are the founding technical force, translating business visions directly into a live product used by real customers on iOS and Android. What You Will Do Architect and build the end-to-end mobile experience, including the frontend UI, backend services, and database management for both iOS and Android platforms.Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate development, maintaining high code quality while shipping features faster than traditional development cycles.Manage the entire deployment pipeline, including CI/CD processes and navigating the submission requirements for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The ideal candidate Proven track record of shipping complete mobile applications from scratch, either as a solo developer or within a small, agile product team.Expert proficiency with modern AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or Copilot, treating them as core components of your engineering workflow.Based in London with the ability to work UK hours remotely while being available for occasional in-person strategy sessions with the founder.
