Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain backend services and applications, contributing to the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment and support.
Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, reviewing code from peers, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and optimizing system performance and scalability.
The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting technical solutions, participating in architectural discussions, and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
The Software Engineer will be expected to follow best practices for testing, security, and reliability while delivering features on schedule.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including APIs, databases, and integration with other systems.Proficiency in Programming with at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and familiarity with development frameworks.Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them in designing maintainable and scalable solutions.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.Ability to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or microservices architectures is an advantage.Comfort working on-site in a collaborative environment in Bratislava, Slovakia; proficiency in English, with Slovak or another local language a plus.
