React Developer Forefront Technologies Forefront Technologies is seeking a React Developer to help build and improve modern enterprise web applications for information governance and content management. This role is well suited to a developer who can translate product requirements into reliable, accessible user experiences and collaborate effectively with product, design, quality assurance, and backend engineering teams. Location: Remote in Seoul, South Korea Engagement: 3 to 4 month contract followed by conversion to a permanent position Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional frontend development experience Position Overview You will develop responsive React applications and reusable interface components that support complex enterprise workflows. You will participate throughout the development lifecycle, from technical design and estimation through implementation, testing, code review, release, and production support. Responsibilities Build responsive, maintainable web applications using React and TypeScript.Create reusable components, hooks, and frontend patterns that support a consistent user experience.Translate product requirements, workflows, and design concepts into production-quality interfaces.Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and handle authentication, authorization, errors, and asynchronous data flows.Write unit and component tests and contribute to integration and end-to-end testing.Review code, troubleshoot defects, improve performance, and reduce technical debt.Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and backend developers across locations and time zones.Document technical decisions, component behavior, and implementation details needed for ongoing support. Required Qualifications 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience, with substantial recent experience building React applications.Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, including modern language features and asynchronous programming.Hands-on experience with React functional components, hooks, routing, forms, and component composition.Experience managing server and client state using appropriate tools such as React Query, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or equivalent patterns.Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, modern CSS, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.Experience consuming REST APIs and working with JSON-based data.Practical experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, package management, and modern build tools such as Vite or Webpack.Experience testing frontend applications with tools such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.Understanding of web security fundamentals, including secure authentication, authorization, input handling, and protection against common browser-based vulnerabilities.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Next.js or another React-based application framework.Experience building or maintaining a component library or design system.Familiarity with accessibility standards and practices, including WCAG and keyboard navigation.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-hosted applications.Familiarity with Java, Spring, SQL, or enterprise application servers.Experience with enterprise content management, records management, information governance, document workflows, or OpenText Documentum.Experience working on distributed Agile product teams. What Success Looks Like During the initial contract period, the React Developer will become productive in the existing codebase, deliver assigned features and fixes with appropriate test coverage, participate constructively in code reviews, and communicate progress and risks clearly. The position is structured to convert to permanent employment after the 3 to 4 month contract period.
