Role Description This full-time remote Cloud DevOps Engineer role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure.
The engineer will build and manage Infrastructure as Code templates, automate deployment pipelines, and support continuous integration and delivery across multiple environments.
Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting incidents, optimizing cloud resources, and collaborating with development and operations teams to improve reliability and release cycles.
The role also involves maintaining Linux-based systems, ensuring security and compliance best practices, and contributing to documentation, standards, and process improvements that support Rockland Tech Hub’s client projects.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, including experience with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar solutions.Candidates should possess solid Software Development abilities, with proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language commonly used in DevOps (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash).Candidates should possess hands-on Continuous Integration experience, including configuring CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.Candidates should possess System Administration and Linux skills, including managing servers, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security hardening.Experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.Strong problem-solving skills, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional remote teams are essential.Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch) and basic networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, DNS, firewalls) is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
