FRONTEND ENGINEER About the Role DeepJudge is looking for a Frontend Engineer with strong technical expertise and a passion for well-crafted user interfaces and seamless user experiences. You will build and ship production frontend features that make DeepJudge’s AI-powered enterprise search and knowledge platform intuitive, performant, accessible, and easy to use for legal professionals working with high-stakes knowledge. This is a hands-on role with daily production coding, frontend architecture ownership, and close collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams. You will contribute not only to implementation but also to product decisions, frontend architecture, and the evolution of the design system, with a strong focus on usability, accessibility, visual quality, and reducing cognitive load. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, performant frontend code for production applications.Build high-quality, reusable, and maintainable frontend components and features.Contribute to frontend architecture and ensure the frontend scales effectively.Review code and maintain high standards for code quality and maintainability.Participate in agile development processes.Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate product vision into implementation.Make UI decisions that prioritize usability, accessibility, and reduced cognitive load for end users.Contribute to the evolution and improvement of the design system.Write tests and monitor frontend performance to deliver a reliable and fast user experience.Stay current with relevant industry trends and frontend technologies.Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and contribute ideas beyond immediate responsibilities.Contribute to frontend decisions that improve experiences for legal research, document analysis, and workflow automation. Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience building and maintaining production applications used by real end users.Professional experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly React.Solid TypeScript experience, including generics, type inference, and building type-safe components.Strong understanding of frontend user experience and the ability to create consistent, intuitive interfaces.Strong attention to UI detail, including pixel-perfect implementation and meaningful micro-interactions.Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical and visual decisions.Ability to collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams.Experience contributing to frontend architecture and making significant frontend decisions.Ability to work effectively in a primarily onsite, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications Production experience with Next.js, including server-side rendering strategies, caching, and route architectureFamiliarity with Figma and design handoff workflowsExperience with accessibility and building products that work effectively for diverse user groups.Experience leading frontend initiatives.Experience mentoring other developers.
