About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in C# and .NET to join our innovative team in Berlin. This role offers a hybrid working environment, providing flexibility to work both remotely and from our office. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions that support our flexible payment platforms. Your contributions will directly influence the evolution of our financial products, ensuring they are robust, secure, and aligned with industry standards. In this position, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and other backend engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on cloud-native applications, microservices architectures, and cutting-edge technologies, shaping the future of FinTech with innovative and sustainable solutions. Your expertise will help us meet high standards of performance, security, and user experience, supporting our mission to make financial transactions seamless and trustworthy. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should bring a strong background in backend development with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in C# and the .NET framework. Experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications is essential, with a preference for those familiar with Azure cloud services. You should have a solid understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful API design. Proficiency with relational databases, especially SQL Server, and ORM frameworks like Entity Framework is required. Familiarity with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ or Kafka, and experience working within FinTech or banking industries are advantageous. Knowledge of modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding platforms like GitHub Copilot, is a plus. Fluency in English is necessary for effective communication within our international team. Applicants must possess EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Germany to be considered for this position.
