MTX is looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer who can take ownership of the environments, tooling and deployment processes across our programs.
The role sits between development and operations and works closely with our architects, developers, testers and project teams.
The real focus is predictable delivery: seeing issues early, working through them with the team and giving our clients confidence that a release is ready to move between environments.

We are a Salesforce Summit partner with specialist expertise in Sales, Service and Experience Cloud, Health Cloud, Public Sector Solutions (PSS), Tableau, Mulesoft, Marketing Cloud.

Key responsibilities
Salesforce DevOps and automation
Provision and manage Salesforce environments throughout the delivery lifecycle.Design and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps and GitHub for metadata, code, data and configuration changes.Set the approach for source control, branching, pull requests, merge conflicts and developer onboarding.Move configuration and environment changes through code wherever possible, reducing reliance on manual changes.
Environment and release management
Coordinate environment strategy, refreshes, deployment pathways and dependencies across complex programs.Lead release planning, deployment runbooks, production deployments, rollback planning and post-release verification.Support development teams with code synchronisation, troubleshooting and deployment execution.Diagnose deployment failures, test issues, tooling problems and environment drift, working with technical leads to resolve them early.
Delivery leadership
Act as the subject matter expert for Salesforce DevOps processes, tools and release readiness.Work with architecture, development, testing and project teams across design, build, test, migration and deployment.Coach teams in source control, deployment hygiene and release standards, with automation as the default approach.Maintain practical runbooks and contribute reusable scripts, templates and standards across the practice.
Technical skills and experience
Essential criteria
At least four years of DevOps or release engineering experience, including a minimum of two years working in the Salesforce ecosystem.Strong Salesforce DX and Salesforce CLI experience, including packaging, scratch orgs, metadata deployment, automated testing and source-driven development.Strong Git knowledge, including trunk-based development, branching, pull requests and merge conflict resolution.Hands-on experience with both Azure DevOps and GitHub, including repositories, pipelines or actions, access controls and deployment workflows.Experience designing and managing DevOps tooling and architecture across enterprise delivery environments.Experience troubleshooting developer tooling, deployment failures, dependencies and environment issues.Strong consulting and communication skills, including runbooks, release documentation and stakeholder updates.
Additional experience
Experience with Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, Salesforce DevOps Center or comparable tooling.Understanding of database schema and configuration migration across environments.Experience supporting enterprise applications in an L2 or L3 support environment.Exposure to UI automation tooling such as Selenium..Experience with MuleSoft or integration-heavy Salesforce programs.Consulting experience in Australian public sector or regulated industries.
Certifications
Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I and Platform Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect are required, or must be completed within an agreed period after joining.
