Senior SAP Software Engineer

Location: ACT, SA Sector: Federal Government Contract Tenure: 12 months with extension upto 24 months Work arrangement: Hybrid Competitive rates WE PAY WEEKLY We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering complex data integration and software solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. You will provide technical leadership, drive best-practice software engineering standards, and contribute to the delivery of critical business outcomes. About the Role As an SAP Software Engineer, you will take technical responsibility for the design, development, deployment, and support of sophisticated data integration solutions using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (SAP BODS). You will lead software development activities, provide expert technical guidance, and work collaboratively with stakeholders across projects to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, systems integration, release management, and Agile delivery practices. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of complex software and data integration solutions.Develop and maintain SAP BODS ETL processes integrating data across multiple systems and platforms.Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams.Drive software engineering best practices, code quality, and maintainability standards.Lead analysis, solution design, prototyping, development, testing, and implementation activities.Review business and technical requirements and develop scalable solution designs.Lead release planning, production deployments, and post-deployment support activities.Investigate and resolve complex technical issues within development and production environments.Support systems integration, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.Contribute to technical standards, development methodologies, and organisational technology roadmaps.About You You are a highly capable software engineering professional with experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions and leading technical teams. Essential Skills & Experience Extensive experience in SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services) development and ETL solution delivery.Strong software development and systems design expertise.Demonstrated experience leading software development projects and technical teams.Experience designing and implementing large-scale data integration and transformation solutions.Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.Experience with software release management, deployment processes, and production support.Proven ability to investigate, analyse, and resolve complex ICT challenges.Strong stakeholder engagement and technical advisory capabilities.Experience implementing development standards, methods, tools, and governance frameworks.Knowledge of automated testing, software configuration, and systems integration practices.Desirable Experience in configuration management processes and tools.Exposure to enterprise SAP environments, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
